EasyKeeper summer 2016 investment update

Money in Hands - CroppedOur exciting developments this summer have been fueled by the confidence of several forward-thinking investors this year. It’s been incredible to talk with folks about the growth potential of the goat industry and see them not only embrace that vision, but choose to make the investments that allow us to move forward in bringing the future of herd management technology.

We are excited to share with you everything that’s been happening and give you a quick overview of what we’re working on with the $75,000 we’ve received these past few months.

The City of Reno was generous in their investment of $35,000 for a new employee hire. This is the second investment we’ve received from the City of Reno, and it allowed us to add a Marketing Assistant to our team. In the short period of time since we received this funding we’ve made great strides towards improving our customer outreach, brand presence, and expanding our marketing program.

We also received a $25,000 investment from The Mill in Las Vegas, NV. Along with their investment, we took part in their 3-month Startup Accelerator program from May until July. While attending the Startup Accelerator, we worked with the program managers and world-class mentors to build a solid foundation for EasyKeeper’s growth that has put us on a trajectory for future success.

To help with expenses while at The Mill, the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada provided us with a $5,000 endowment.

The most exciting investment, however, was a contribution from The Goat Man himself, Dr. Frank Pinkerton. Frank has long been an advisor to Easykeeper and has fueled our passion for providing a platform that gives ranchers on-farm performance assessments, as well as integrated support for formal performance programs such as Kentucky State University’s Goat Herd Improvement Program. He has given us a great honor by investing not only his time and wisdom but his finances to help make that happen.
